This hidden gem is situated inside the Royal United Hospital in Bath. The outdoor pool, used by NHS staff but open to general public swimming sessions, is only open during the summer months. During the summer the pool is heated, however, during the shoulder season the pool remains open for cold water swimming.
The pool is split into 4 lanes with only 1 swimmer per lane, meaning you get a quality 30 minute session in a lovely outdoor setting. The facilities are a bit basic but adequate, with changing rooms and showers.
